About Alison

Specialising in community engagement, Alison has consulted brands such as Tesco, Nokia and Pringles on their social media strategies as well as many small to medium sized UK businesses. She is currently consulting travel and retail clients and is helping to establish a new digital marketing agency, and Google’s only SME partner, Croud. Alison was an early adopter of social media, using it to promote herself as a freelance journalist and copywriter in 2008.

She has been writing Modern Musings since September 2008 and has since gone on to blog for Mirror.co.uk , Journalism.co.uk and launched her own hyperlocal website Dalston People.
